Didn’t know that, he’s done well out of the darts like.
They mentioned it the other day on sky saying he was thinking about taking it up along with darts. But also read he may quit and do full time rugby. He basically doesn’t even like darts lol. He just found he was decent when drinking in the pub. As much as a tit as he can be, his story is really good and he’s won it all.

Totally agree mate, when he’s firing it’s difficult to stop him, and for something he just found he was decent at in the ale house is brilliant that he’s done what he has.

I don’t think he would be that much of a bellend in the flesh either, feels like a big panto act as you said.

Thanks mate, appreciate that. He's trying to sound strong, interviewers talking up his own "mental strength" narrative that he's been putting about - but he comes off as absolutely rattled.
Think you’re right. He was never like this. I hope he’s not turned into this since he’s now won a televised major. Considering him and bunting both live in St Helens it seems weird.

Yeah, that's the other aspect in all this, they live in the same town and he's chosen the biggest stage to throw that nonsense out there..

Just seems like he's manufactured something to wind himself up, which almost backfired, because - as Smith himself says he "had no business winning that".

Interesting that none of the journos wanted to touch it, I was waiting for a follow up, either give Smith a chance to double down or clarify but they didn't.

Weird, no doubt about it.
