Mate, I threw darts for my local team - 8ft 6 inches on the mat - Lancashire 6 foot on the mat - I found the closer I was to the board after throwing from 2 ft 6 inches further away gave me no advantage at all .... It's what you are used to - walking down the hockey the referee would stop you from doing that hence the new foot ridge bar is set out you can lean over it hand body wise, but not walk to gain advantage OK
