World Snooker Championship

Enjoyed that, more of the same tomorrow please. Vis a vis absolutely nothing :

There's the famous other one, having sank 20 pints during a match Bill stretches to get onto a shot and has to cock his leg up onto the table, in doing so he lets out a raspberry, and immediately a crowd member quips he had 'just potted the brown'.

Just had two chocolate digestives, thanks for the picture. :)

That was Selby's crowning glory in many ways. To hit a 147 in a world final is, obviously, historic. To then win the following frame to narrow the deficit to one in spite of the adrenaline shows you the level of mentality we are dealing with here.

He'll be thrilled to be only one behind. A long way to go, of course. Whatever happens now this final has gone down in history. We will have the first continental European world champion, or we will have a five-time great burnishing his legacy with a 147 along the way.

In a strange way, Selby can actually lose this and still take something positive from a defeat. That 147 makes imbeciles of those dismissing his greatness simply because they don't favour his style. It's a great sport that allows greatness to blossom in different ways.

Not many sides can win in every style there is.

Never underestimate the Germans Selby, but Brecel is playing with enough carefree abandon that he can definitely win this. I make him clear favourite right now. Selby almost always wins the early frames on day 2. He hasn't done that today and I'm not sure he can afford that. Far from over, of course, but the signs are there for Brecel. He can break the back of this match this afternoon.

All over, Selby hasn't turned up and Brecel most certainly has. Only thing that could possibly stop the Belgian is the finish line. This has the look of 18-11 to me.
