I think the tournament has been a bit flat so far. Not many close matches. With so many seeds going out in the first round it means the second round has been a bit dull, as they have come back down to earth.

They mentioned today or yesterday the pockets have been tightened up very slightly, which is the explanation for their only being 50% of last years centuries at the same point. There's a few big names in transition, crisis of confidence nearly everywhere you look.

Overall, there's been some shocking matches, not just the odd frame but multiple frames. We haven't even finished the second round yet, hopefully the quality will improve.

He's got the masters and the UK already this season so could hit a grand slam triple crown. Not sure it's been done before? And he'd go 8 times WC.

The establishment are in a bit of a quandary with him, he doesn't toe the line and has some edges to his character, but if they don't honour him there's good chance they look foolish in retrospect. He has to win it first.

Look who got it last year, the England women's goalkeeper, and they didn't even win the final.
