I saw some of Hendry's last match and he looked so good. Didn't quite have the cue ball control of his old self but was getting out of jail with all manner of shots. I suppose it must just be the pressure that prevents them playing how they can in the end as like that he looked better than 80% of the current players.

Potted some great long pots. Still goes for the difficult shots rather than play safe.

I suppose it should be no surprise, after all he is only in his early 50's and was one of the greatest to ever play the game. He just didn't want to compete if he didn't believe he could win the world title. Any other player with that talent would still be grinding away on the tour.

Meanwhile, some salacious tat. Seems a tightwad. lol

Are all blondes 'leggy' ?

Went to play a few practice frames this afternoon, on the next table to me was a young lad who was with his dad. The lads name is Jamie Williams and he has just turned 8 years old... aside from his repetitive skill development practice today he also likes to play a frame or two in between drills, today he knocked in a break of 49.... ran out of position so played a lovely safety shot which forced his dad to make a mistake, Jamie then knocked in another break of 21 straight after. He’s currently ranked in the top 5 in the under 14’s age group in wales ... that’s scary at 8 years old. It was a pleasure to watch him practice.
Quick update if anyone is interested, Jamie reached the semi final of the welsh junior championship yesterday, he lost 2-0 to the welsh under 16s ranked no 1 player. Not too bad for an 8 year old.
