Worst post-Southall regular no.1

Did that guy Ruddy play many games for us? I don't think that he did. But he went on to play well for a few other clubs.
We had on or books a half decent keeper and we let him go. Was that Moyes?
And is Ruddy still playing?.......I think that he is...

Ruddy was first choice at Norwich for a long time! Not sure where he is now

Paul Gerrard I absolutely despised. Was when I first started going the match.

Thought Myhre was pretty good at times, just inconsistent

Thank God that guy Turner only played a few games. He was awful.
Most of the keepers on that list(barring Martyn )were not very good. None of them are ever mentioned when talking about great Everton keepers. They are all best forgotten.
And as for our most recent keepers. Howard imo damaged his reputation in his last couple of seasons with us. But I suppose Martinez did him no favours by playing him all the time. There was a spell when Robles was in the team and playing well. Martinez then proceeded to drop Robles. And reinstate the flapping about dead duck Howard. So back to losing matches. After a mini revival with Robles in goal.
And as for Pickford. It now seems it's a mistake or two every game. Keane saved his ### The other night.
So if I could have voted for every keeper on the list (except Martyn) I would have.

Did Turner not get a hilarious red card on his debut or am I thinking or Ruddy?

Turner got sent off against Blackburn Rovers. Ruddy came on in his place. That was Ruddys one and only game for Everton. But between them in that match they kept a clean sheet . And Everton won 1-0. Strange match as both those keepers were the 3rd and 4th choice keepers. Martyn and Wright being injured.
That was Ruddys one and only match for Everton. He is now only about 33 or 34. And as stated plays at wolves.
Turner only played four matches for Everton.
He is now 36. And has played for 16 clubs. And in all that time has only managed to play Just over 100 first team matches. I think that he now coaches.

Richard Wright for me, most the other on that list were not really ‘No.1s’.

Still remember him rolling the ball into his own net against Fulham when we were going for Europe.

I still remeber him rolling his ankle at chelsea before the game

Tim Howard. He was the player who started the demise of Martinez, was constantly selected by him despite all the mistakes. Even came back into the squad after Robles had a good run while he was injured.

Everyone remembers the Coventry game, Farrelly slice into the top bin, Judas Barmby missing the pen, Vialli at the Bridge

The thing that still gives me nightmares from that game though is what could have been when Coventry equalised when Dublin’s header went through Myhre’s hands in the last minute.

Still voted Richard Wright though.

Horrible that, why did he have to try and catch it?

Why is Martyn’s name even in with some of these clowns? Great keeper for us. So was Howard pre 2012. Then he had a mini revival for 13/14 before he fully dropped off the cliff.

Because he was our no.1 at one point.... think the question is who was the worst out of our number 1s not out out of everyone

Joel was a case though. Would look great for a run of games, clean sheets galore, gets to a derby and any shot on target goes straight in.

Martyn should be nowhere near this list and if we had signed him in 1996 things may have turned out so much different for Royle. I also thought Myhre was decent until he got injured and bizarrely even when he recovered Wally Smith preferred Gerrard. After that Myhre seemed to play like he didn't care. Howard and Pickford have both been ok the rest were poor.
