…what I know with certainty is Anthony Gordon started last season as our central striker & Demari Gray finished it. 12 months later, we still have the same issue.

We never replaced Lukaku, is that his fault too eggs ? I agree on the striker issue, apart from 1 maybe 2 seasons with DCL coming through we've failed miserably. But is this not due to finances as well as targets walking away to better offers and better clubs ? Big players very rare get through negotiations with Everton when other clubs get interested. Onana one of the exceptions.

…..then you don’t sign ‘big players’. I made this point over the weekend, players with good options are unlikely to choose Everton but its a big world out there & we have to be clever in identifying talent that become ‘big’ players. Nobody is saying it’s easy, but it’s what a DOF does.

Just a thought I actually dont think we are looking...media speculating on our fake bids.. doing the job for the club..we put bids in allegedly knowing they will not be accepted anyway..as said player already agreed terms with another club..dont think we have a pot to do the proverbial in...

We approach teams with ridiculously low down payments with the rest over half a decade. The players agent will be aware of this,then a quick view of our "best of the last few seasons" videos and the players go elsewhere...
