Would it get worse without Dyche?

If Dyche left now, would Everton be in deeper poo?

without the points deduction(s) we'd probably already be safe, mid table with 7 games to go.That is the massive improvement we all wanted this time last year. It isnt pretty, and can be annoying but he has done his job pretty well with what he has available. We also dont see how good/shabbite players are during the week in training or who is carrying undisclosed injuries (most of them will be to some extent)

Oh, and we cant afford to sack him and his staff so I doubt he is going anywhere

He’d have us on 35 points already without the points deduction which is stark contrast to the last few seasons, and exactly what we need right now to get us into the new stadium in the top flight so we stand a chance to commercialise it properly and eventually get better. Yes the football is dire but it’s hardly as if he’s been given much to work with and change that is it.

It’s pragmatism over idealism at the moment as if you haven’t noted sacking managers every year hasn’t served us well either on or off the pitch, with the cost of paying them off.

Get us in that stadium with some form of stable ownership and then let’s see where we can go. In the meantime we have to suck it up and ignore the baying crowd who’ve been demanding manager blood for the last ten seasons, not now lads.

Based on this season we are down next season if Leeds and Leicester come up. The football is crap, doesn’t work in the PL, and we won’t get enough points to stay above them even without points deductions.
Actually I am more worried about relegation next season than this.

"Hopefully" there's more than just us with points reductions next season. And if we get a triple jeopardy ruling, we might even get a handicap in our favour. But if there's a ruling change we could well be goosed.

Anyway back to Dyche....

He has got utter dross to work with.

No Gordon, no Richarlison and DCL not firing.

We have Beto who we got on a no money down deal probably because no one else would pay money for and we had no money to buy someone different.

Without the point deductions we are safe.

He's won 35 points with a hand full of game left, not to mention the amount of games we should have won but for horrendous refereeing, even games that we've dominated an lost through players not being clinical in front goal.

People don't like him on a personal level because he reminds them of that Middle England Banter Gammon Biff, you come across from time to time who's politics and personality rub you up the wrong way.

As for the classic neck beard "style of play" internet shout.

We tried to play with some form of identity under Lampard, the playing out from the back guff with players who absolutely can not do it,an look where it got us? Unfortunately you just have to wee with the willy you've got.

People also bemoan the fact he doesn't have a Plan B but yesterday alluded to changing the system to get a result which wasn't pretty, but relegation battles rarely are.

The stick he gets under the circumstances in my extremely humble opinion is short sighted and at times borderline delusional, especially when you look at the condition the club is in.

All of this!

If he gets 42 points then you can say he has achieved what was expected from him (especially if he does this with a few games in hand). However he has severely tested my patience, all this it's a season's work bollocks is totally unacceptable for the club he is at. If he believes what he is saying it's a sackable offence.

I'm sick of this managerial merry-go-round and I don't want to pay out more compensation as this has helped cause the situation we are in, but if we could get Moyes in the summer for nothing, sell an Onana or worst comes to worst Branthwaite, hit PSR and give him 30 million to freshen up the squad with his players then I would take it.

I'm no big fan of Moyes but he's clearly a Dyche + or more appropriately Dyche is a Moyes -. We won't pull up any trees with Davey but I think we would be less prone to these runs/results, certainly I would expect better home form and his style is not so dissimilar that there would be problems with the style of player. He would also be a more fitting manager for our last at Goodison and first at BM.

He’s done alright. Massive improvement in mindset and culture within the squad. Getting rid of players who can’t arse with high intensity football.

Result wise can be much better. Football is not the best but I’d rather have efficiency than fancy tika stuff like Burnley.

Some people are still obsess with possession. Burnley had plenty of play from the back possession all season. What did they achieve? It’s a carbon copy of the Spanish fraud at Wigan.

Can we find someone better? Of course. Can we afford? No.
