The mere suggestion of a return for Moyes shows the level of mediocrity and weak mentality that infests every corner of our Club. If a fan base welcomes his return then we know exactly where we are and what are once proud Club stands for. And if a billionaire businessman who’s sunk £400,000,000 into Everton in his short tenure allows that return to happen, or even engages the thought then we are in a lot worse place than I realise.
This 100%

Shame he didn't have Sunderland, West Ham or soceidad defending properly

Actually I think Moyes did well in West Ham, he handled a club with limited players quality, many injured players, in relegation zone. He changed their situation and played well in competition with good attitude on pitch

When has gong back for a previous manager ever truly worked? If Silva gets sacked I want us to bring in someone new, hopefully someone who has been watching us thinking “if that shower only did x or y instead of constantly doing z, they would start racking the points up“

i.e. somebody who can see the upside, rather than someone who thinks “they are cack, but my god, that salary looks sexy” I don’t know who that would be, but I am pretty sure it wouldn’t be someone who has already been here and either got hounded out or walked away from us! Fresh thinking needed now chaps, stop trying to crawl back into the womb!

Been saying it for months.

the only one who is available that might be able to organise our defence and restore some kind of pride.

knows the club and supporters.
I’m prepared to forgive and forget.

If we can’t get the elite names...hopefully the board will come up with someone with credential.

The very best managers will not come, and all of our punts have blown up in our face. A season or two of Moyes laying some foundations might be good.

People say he is a busted flush, yet Hodgson and Pelligrini prove the quality of a manager itself is more important than their age.

He did well at West Ham, and that was a very difficult scenario. Given how weird the league is at the moment, being consistent and being solid is enough to get top 6

If he had been somewhere like Aston Villa for 11 years, never won a trophy and never won at the rs,Old Trafford,Stamford bridge or the Emirates, got sacked by United, relegated Sunderland then sacked again by West ham, then you would be livid if the board even gave him a second glance, yet because he was here hes thought of as some sort of decent shout

Correct. Like how United appointed sjolksjaer after his managerial record.
Sentiment should play no part in a decision like that .

When has gong back for a previous manager ever truly worked?

Cappello, went back to Madrid, won the league title.

Lippi, went back to Juve, won back to back titles.

Heynckes, went back to Bayern, won the treble.

Mourinho, went back to Chelsea, won the title.

Redknapp went back to Portsmouth and won the FA Cup.

Even Dalglish, went back to Liverpool and won their 1st trophy in 6 years.

Moyes has been the best manager this club has had in decades. Hasn’t gone right for him since but I’d certainly give him another go.

No.

Moyes did well for most part under a knife to a gunfight stewardship with minimum expectations.

He was the right man for that period of time.

His record after leaving us speaks for itself.

Leave him be.

Sod up and coming young managers, where we are now we need a steady experienced set of hands. This is a critical period in the clubs history with the ground move.

We can go for young upstarts when we have a boss team that consistently challenging top 6.

What I would have against Moyes. Is his cv.

Id like an experienced manager, but one who as actually won some trophies. And not tin pot ones in Greece and Portugal. Proper big league trophies I. E. England, Spain, Italy etc.

My shortlist would be wenger or benitez.

Better than another punt on some obscure hipster manager.

The main problem if you can call it one is brands.

Does an experienced manager want to work in DOF structure?
