Would you welcome Rooney back to Goodison?

Nah - he's showed that his love for our club has gone.

I would take him back, as he is a good player, but I wouldn't welcome him back with open arms. He'd have to re-earn his respect from the fans

I would not want him back, even if he was free.his attitude towards the club, manager and fans since he left has burnt any possible Bridges.he is a talented player buy not a person who I would want as a role model for the kids at the club.my one wish however if instead of abuse being thrown at him by our fans we just ignore him. the shock might put the rat of his game(y)

The player Wayne Rooney would be great, but the personallity of Shrek, makes in a definite NO!!! for me.(n)(n)(n) Just can't stand him and to see this Judas kissing the United badge, makes me want to throw up. Never, ever want to see Rooney pulling on our Royal Blue shirt again. He had his chance, but choose to betray his childhood club.rcard

Just for him kissing the Utd badge (when the won 4-2) - I would. Then get a player to break his leg in training.

Yea, i would play him upfront with Jeffers and play Barmby just in the hole.

how childish, of course we'd welcome him back, if he netted against the [Poor language removed] at the street end you're telling me you wouldn't celebrate?

I'd have him back yeah as long as he had something to offer us on the pitch, which in 5 years time he still will.

I've never gone along with the hatred that comes his way. Yeah he is an ugly granny shagger and yeahhe might be a bit of an asshole but i think it would be good for the club on the pitch to have a player of his quality.

What he did isn't comparable to raping my dog so i'd have him back.

Childish or not, he chose his own destiny and to be fair, had all right to do that, but I don't want him back now. If he scored against the [Poor language removed], yes I would celebrate. Celebrate because it was Everton that scored, but no way, I would celebrate Wayne Rooney. Sorry, just have lost all respect for that **** and I'm not prepared to ever forgive him.

The head says yes but the heart says definately no and as football supporters go with the heart it would break my heart if he played in the royal blue again. There would be too much venom , from the supporters, left for him to settle. We should remember him as a great player who shat on us (although not entirely his fault ) rather that take him back and try to forget

but you're contradicting yourself, if you would celebrate his goal then surely you would be happy him playing, and the fact that he is brilliant at what he does, and scores goals you would be happy having him playing for everton.

Sorry but NO i could never welcome in back. Would you welcome someone in to your home who insulted you. No of course you would'nt and thats what i think rooney did when he left. Do i think he is a great player YES. Do i agree with the abuse he gets NO, as i believe this only motivated him more. He said once a blue always a blue, and we all bought in to that and then he did what he did. So NO could never ever welcome him back and as a previous poster sais if he ever did play for us again and scored, would i cheer of course, but that would not mean i had forgiven or indeed welcomed him back
