So, those that know me, know that I am an Xbox 360 owner (actually a first gen 360 that is still kicking). But this tickled me concerning the 360's lifetime failure rate:
Microsoft responds to Xbox 360 54.2 percent failure rate report, doesn't dispute the data
What is the best, as highlighted in this article, is that Microsoft don't deny the reported figure, but merely try the age-old art of misdirection to take emphasis away from the numbers
Great stuff!![/QUOTE
I bought a 360 when they first came out and within weeks started having problems with it. The draw wouldnt eject the disc and had trouble reading game data. I bought a ps3 in Hong Kong 2 1/2 yrs ago and so far have had no problems with it. Theres no difference in graffix but for me the ps3 is a far superior machine.
Works for me and millions of others. By the way, how much is it costing people to upgrade from Vista to 7? $200 or something? Snow Leopard is costing around $20 to upgrade, and it has many of the features.
Have fun on your Apple home consol---WAIIIIIIITAMINUTE
Got my upgrade for £45 from from amazon for windows 7 been running the beta of it and its miles better than vista just so much smoother than that lumpy mess of an OSWorks for me and millions of others. Lets not split hairs, the PS3 is technically superior in every way to the Xbox. But it is built by Sony, so they seem to have even less care about the end user than MS does. Plus, game developers are only just now getting to grips with the extra horsepower in the PS3..now they will be belching some serious heat and their failure rates will go up exponentially
That said, I still prefer my white Xbox over the PS3.....all the games I want to play....and Live! beats the living crap out of the best that anyone else have to offer.
To each his own though, just lets Xbox, PS3 and Wii owners all agree on one thing. Apple sucks.
you've obviously never seen wii transfer then, its an app for macs that allows you to stream videos and songs and pictures through your tv. its certainly a handy program if i can't find my a/v cable
