barcelona , man utd , overated attack but under rated defence , through ball , through ball , through ball , goal............. im actually getting fed up with the online ranked matches.

theres a lot of games where im playing teams off the pitch , but they win 3 -0 with the same tactic and the same goal time and time again.

ive treid closing them down , or sending a team mate , or sending 2 players , holding back and jockeying. nothing works , if the opposing team has 2 pacy players its just a case of 2 through balls , run on to it and your guaranteed either a goal or a penalty and red card.

any tips on how to counter-act this pathetic tactic ?

You have to push up your sweeper/last man and try to catch him offside when they play the through ball. If you can time it right, youll catch them every time. Ronaldo's quick though and you have to smash him before he gets a run up.

Didnt have any probs with the ea site myself...there was an update but it worked fine. Just won 5 straight, loving Barca.

ive had a red ring twice (lolololol )

first time it was out of warranty but i had a second xbox in warranty and the good people at xbox let me use that to get the first box fixed.

second box broke , out of warranty , but becouse it had the rrod xbox gave me 3 years warranty free and fixed it.

in fact i fixed it myself first but sent it off anyway to get the extra warranty and free month of live.

how do you fix rrod ? well apparently what happened was that the joins on the mother board were not the best.
wrap the box in 2 towels so no air can get in , switch it on for 20 minutes, until it gets hot. then switch it off and let it cool.
switch it on and hey presto , no rrod.

apparently there were 2 bad batches of 360 , 1 batch had falty disk drives which left a ring on disks, the other batch had weak soldering.


ps the problems i had yesterday with fifa are also on the ps3 version according to the ea site.

I don't care if that works, NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!!! That is very, very, very dangerous for your electronics to do that. You can overheat the CPU/GPU and cause permanent damage, which Microsoft won't cover. The problem is the way the heatsinks are attached to the motherboard. They are held in place by an x-clamp that actually arcs the heatsink upward, off of the CPU and GPU. THe heat builds up and the solder melts creating a broken connection. You simply remove the x-clamps and use 4 screws (with nylon washers) to attach the heatsinks to the board using equal force at each corner. That 90% of the time fixes the problem.

Arteta2391 good game before Spuds vs Valencia I think that was the first offical GOT league match.

It was a tight game, back and forward if I remember it clearly. Those are the most fun type of games. I think were setting up high expectations for the GOT league. I can't wait to play a "Be A Pro" match against a different forum.

I remember Moretti was red carded during the first 15 minutes of the game. My defense was on their heels the whole game but I kept a strong back line.

Yeah he did, I switched to all out attack after that and hammered your defence but I couldn't get the goal I needed. I wonder if Moretti will be suspended for 3 matches for a straight red?

In the second half it was very tight and I had to switch it back to balanced because I was leaving myself exposed at the back it was a very good game indeed.

Oh UKnight there was no goals to post it was a 0-0 draw.

yea i know its a no no. dont try that home folks.
but i am the dangerous experimental type when it comes to frankensteining pcs and consoles.
im the sort of guy who makes electo prods from camera flash charges a couple of nails and a fag packet then plays forehead russian roulette with it during his coffee break.

its only a 1 match lbtw , as its only an experimental league to start with.
mind yoo , im sure when i set it up you could have 1, 3 or 5 matches but not 2 .

the nxxt league we set up i think we should do 2/3 matches with duplicate teams allowed.

why in penos are everton so crap.. just battered man utd but failed to score... went to penos... every single one of theres went into the top corner, or very bottom corner... each one of mine went about mid way even though i done power and full angle on the controller...

and how hard is it to save them... FFS !!!!

dont like games where they make it favourite before you start !!

I played Man U on be a pro last night and it seemed like real life. As in they got every single call most of my players got booked, and my players are called off-side even though they look onside and the two lines (off-side indicator thingy's on the replay)are perfectly over each other.

ever since day one, i have had the odd occasions when the xbox just wont read my disc (always fifa as thats the only game i really play)

anyway.. i put the console on the side and not really had the problem.. although i have been meaning to take it back for a while...

anyway today midgame it came up, disc cannot be read, please wipe with soft cloth etc...

when i went to eject i could hear it spinning like mad, and after ejecting it it has a huge gash in it, and to make it worse, the centre of the disc (the very middle bit has a tiny crack in it..

this was deffo the console and not me or anyone else...

the game now wont even load, it gets to the press start bit and crashes every time...

any ideas people?? iv wiped it best i can, but nothin ?? im fuming, console is less than 2 weeks old

my advice is take the game back and say you want a replacement disc "as the disk is faulty" as bought , also ask for an exchange on the console as thats faulty too.

if the shop dont exchange the game , then your buggered , although if the scratch isnt too deep , for 1.50 you can get the disc cleaned at gamestation. my cod 4 disk got badly scratched and refused to play (clean disk message) so i took iti n , they took a layer off , hey presto it works again.(this can only be done a few times on 1 disk)

by any chance did you move the console in anyway with the disk still in it ? this can scratch disks.the support team will say wether on or off , if theres a disk in the drive the console must remain static.


ps unfortunatly xbox do replace disks but only those made by them.ie halo , gears of war etc

gonna try what you said... i didnt move the console at all... in fact the disc hasnt been taken out in almost a week...

it hasnt been knocked either.... it is very wierd..

ill try and sort it tomorrow so i can kick ass again

oh and in the league... we deffo need more matches
