Doubts about the price tag aside, the guy is 24 and a goal-scorer.

Manny is here as well, but considering only a technicality is stopping him making the team for Reading, it's almost old news!

Tremendous stuff - fantastic news for fans - we're on the verge of being a very, very good outfit!!!

Great news, I'll be VERY happy with both signings, for the 2nd season in a row moyes has strengthend every area of our team.

Last season, Howard, Lescott, AJ, Manny (on loan)

This season, Jags, Baines, Manny (OURS!) & Yakubu (if it happens)

as always believe it when you see it, but this is great news and I hope its true.

The surprise is Yakubu even though Gaz and Monty gave us the inside earlier. Couldn't imagine anymore dealings beside all these we have in place for about 30 million. January window if any big injuries loom but I think the Vogel thing is off. We mnay wait for him next year.

Hopefully this will help AJ as well as he has really been the only regular striker since he's been here. Last season BT did nothing and Vic and Vaughan only contributed in short bursts. Having someone regular alongside him to divert attention could really help him.

Agree. AJ could use a prolific scorer next to him. While I think Anichebe and especially Vaughan is getting there, we need another experienced striker that can score as well.

Considering this story was on this site 10 days ago, the people who posted it, Gaz and myself got slated for it rather than the site running it as a proper story. What a summer i love seeing the playing managing and boared work so harmmonusley this wont be popular with all but Bill and Davie have saved our club and i really feel we will be touching on top four in the this or next seaon.
