I watched his match with Bolton against Wolves and he played very well.

I totally agree. it stinks but I am glad that they extended his contract knowing that his potential to continue improving is high.

in the early stages of the Sir Landon thread I asked if any Brits knew of Holden (this was before it was announced he was going to Bolton). Remember that Bill?

I seem to remember some people (not you) say that Holden wouldn't cut it in the EPL, after I was saying he should be on radars.

I'm just happy he was doing well. Now we'll have to wait another couple months to see him play again.

He's got the skill. Like most, it's adapting to the pace of the league. I think he will and he was generally applauded for his performance against Wolves (yeah yeah, I know, it was Wolves.)

I don't get too animated over international football, I support 99 per cent of the time at domestic level, however, I do enjoy on a significant scale when the national team (England) are eliminated from major world and euro tourneys, it's sort of more relief than anything else, but I can't say that I don't get some pleasure out of it and not be honest with myself.

to lose to the Netherlands is no disgrace, they'll be one to look out for this summer, and I couldn't help but mention Spain beating France with some ease in Paris or wherever it was played, they deserve their tag as many peoples favorites in South Africa.

all the same, I'll be real glad when it's over.
