Villa will have told him to go no doubt. They'll have twisted his arm. Their new boss wants youth and not overrated mercenaries on 70 grand in the second tier.

Cant get my head round this one.
He gets paid at Villa and here, so it aint a money thing. He gets some games at Villa, so, unless he has been given encouragement that he will get similar here, (doubtful), it isnt that.
Does he hate Birmingham? Like, that much Liverpool is miles better? Nah.
Has his agent lined a deal up?

Yannick Bolasie has returned to Everton after opting to end his loan at Aston Villa.
But the DC Congo international is unhappy over claims Championship Villa ended his loan spell themselves.
The winger, 29, has made 21 appearances for Villa this term and scored twice and had four assists.
But he wanted to return to Premier League Everton and emailed Villa on Sunday night to terminate his loan.
Bolasie had a clause in his loan which was valid until midnight on Sunday January 20 to end his loan agreement.
And he has exercised it to return to Goodison Park in the hope of playing Premier League football again.
Everton will now be liable for the winger's £75,000-a-week salary which Villa were picking up.
He hopes to force his way back into boss Marco Silva's plans at Everton after they lost three of their last four Premier League games to slip to 11.
