2018/19 Yannick Bolasie

Good player when he signed and was forming a strong partnership with Lukaku.

Then he got an often career-killer injury at a bad age. Took ages to recover and when he did lacked sharpness and confidence.

This season may see him get his mojo back (or not and his career is finished due to the injury) but a complete regime change has happened so it won't be here.

Wish him no ill-will. Had terrible luck here and we never really got the best of him.

Still not gone I see. You'd think he would want to bed himself into his new club asap, instead of allowing their existing players to show some form and retain their places in the team. Just a leech that needs removing and banishing from our history.

Will never get the animosity over this guy. He blew out his knee. He wasn't that bad pre injury.
I'm not gonna sit here and pretend he was Champions League quality but he was also clearly our best winger for that brief spell and I think had the injury not happened he would still be a useful sub but as is he is totally done at the top level. I don't dislike him though, he hasn't done anything to deserve that unlike say Williams who tried fighting Lyon and got a disgraceful red card at Burnley among other things

My animosity toward Bolasie stems from his pointless and failed extravagence.

This is a metaphor for his entire career

Apart from the rare occasions when he managed a decent cross (ie: the bare minimum you'd expect from his position), he looked like my 11-year-old nephew practising his stepovers in the laneway

His time at Everton was like watching an extended audition for a viral Youtube clip

Bolasie was a £15m winger we paid £26m for who then got a serious injury and came back as a £10m player. It wasn't his fault we over-paid or that the injury further lowered his stock. It is time for both parties to move on... I've never questioned his attitude and think in different circumstances he would have been decent, occasionally exciting but unreliable player for us. Was probably capable of producing a great performance once in ever 3 or 4 but the injury knocked that out of him. Having said that i think at a lower level where he gets a run in the team he'll be a good signing for Villa or Boro.

Hiya mate. Maybe it was just on this forum, but Yannick was getting a lot of stick before his bad injury, especially on match day threads.
He had quickly become the new scapegoat for the poor results and performances.
Not sure if you were around then, but if the old threads are still viewable, he was getting it from many on here.

when someone is crap and plays for us: HE'S CRAP GET HIM OUT

when someone crap is about to get sold: HES ALRITE DON'T GET WHY HE'S SLATED

kinell lads, he gets slated because he's absolute garbage, not only is he garbage he thinks he's neymar on the wing with skills he cannot pull off, he thinks it's all dead funny that he's garbage and his social media profiles are embarrassing

I mean I can't speak for everyone but I don't hate him, but he is what he is a terrible footballer who's extremely annoying on massive wages so why wouldn't people be glad to see him gone

after writing this reply I do actually hate him to be fair so ye fck you yannick
