Must have been a dream that one, as Luis Suarez signed on the 31st January 2011. Miraculously on the same day as Carroll signed for them.

Adam signed a few months afterwards, so not sure how Liverpool blew Suarez's money when he was only sold in 2014. Torres on the other hand...

appearances made, certain performance performance targets in terms of goals/assists, club achieving anything whilst he's here, Euro qualification, CL qualification etc mate

I think Adam might have came in a later window.

While i see your point, there's mitigating circumstances with all of those. Gundogan is on first name terms with half of the top medical specialists in europe, Mkhitaryan had Dortmund over a barrel as he was going to run down his contract and go for free in 12 months and Nolito's 30 in 2 months time. There's definitely better value to get abroad though
