I'm sure he's capable of head slapping frustration tbh. However, as an option in the squad, he'll give us a different option to what we have imo. If Koeman can work on his decision making, as opposed to that beaut Pardew, I think he'll be a good addition personally. Daft money like, but it's the mad market unfortunately
If he was £10m I'd see it as a good bit of business: replacing that waster Mirallas with someone who can drag a defence out of position and who actually looks arsed. The fee is ludicrous though. We should be getting much better quality for that wedge.

Daft money for another erratic winger. That's him, Del, Mirallas and even McGeady who are all hot and cold on a good day. I just think this is panic buying of the highest order we need another striker first, why aren't we in for someone like the Brazilian lad signing for Swansea?
If we don't get a striker and we lose Rom through transfer, sulking or injury we are screwed.

Even southern rail have got more strikers than us.....

I think it's apparent that our strategy in the market has dramatically changed Dave. We're buying (or are linked at least) with players who's resale value obviously isn't on our agenda, which is a massive sea change.

Proven PL players who can make a difference now, as opposed to prospects, gambles and up and comings. There's no value in that market at present and it seems that we don't give a [Poor language removed].

RK is no fool. He'll know as well as anyone Bolasie's weaknesses, but I like the fact he is backing himself at that price to turn him into someone who can consistently deliver. On his day YB is clearly feared and a match winner, but that has been on far too few occasions. Maybe he's the kind of character that will like he idea of living up to such a fee... Let's hope so.

who would have thought how hard it would be to replace someone like Pienaar who cost us 2m first time round.
What a boss player, covered defense and got stuck in, brilliant feet, telepathic understanding with Baines, assisted the as assister time after time!!!
No doubt Moyes purchased a couple of absolute gems in his time and Pienaar was right up there

Was more gutted when Pienaar left than Arteta. His understanding with Baines was great to watch.
Trevor and Gary Steven(s) had that understanding but played in a different way.
Will be interesting to see how that works with Baines and Bolasie. A mix of those two combos?

Look at Del's stats last season - worse than Bolasie's. 33 apps, 4 goals compared to 31 apps and 6 goals. Bolasie has much less assists but that could well be down to playing in a Palace team lacking in a decent striker and goals overall. I think he'll do well for us.

del had 9 assists compared to his 3... and del is 21 not 27 (prime)

I think this one is being dragged out to allow us all to temper the absolute direness of this transfer. Already it has gone from complete outrage yesterday to some people seemingly trying to convince themselves that this is a good player. At this rate, next week we'll all be thinking that the money we're offering for him is a bargain and then we'll make the signing.

I'm refusing to get sucked into this. If this player goes for anything near the price mentioned, it will make a complete mockery of the fee we received for Stones. Stones is worth a minimum of 3 times what this lad is worth and I'd suggest it should be closer to five times. It's like selling Buckingham Palace and spending 75% of the sale price on a two bed terrace in Grimsby just because you have the money and need somewhere to sleep. It's just stupid. I hope Moshiri thinks this way too. I can't believe that I am saying this, but I'd take a gamble at 10mil but only as a naive show of faith to Koeman and Walsh. To me, on a good day he is at best a Darren Huckerby. I just watched a YouTube video to convince me otherwise and of the 6 minutes of his highlights I think he spent 5 of them on the floor. I admit that the guy can run, but so could Forest Gump.

The argument for selling Stones in order to allow us to increase our wage pot convinced me that Stones had to go for the benefit of the club. His sale will help us entice better players to the club with more competitive wages on offer. If this allows us to go for the better players surely it makes sense to do just that. They won't all want to come but we can have plans b, c and d to fall back on. There are enough good players out there for us not to have to use the Chinese alphabet to fit this guy in as an option.

I'm not a big bolasie fan. But 22mil is not a fortune these days.
Who else was available? It's going to be difficult to sign world class players, as the last month has shown.
So we could have had townsend for 8mil cheaper. Very inconsistent. Took a gamble on s young player like Redmond who cost 11. But we already have Geri. And Redmond was hardly fantastic last season.

The other option is go abroad, but thats always a gamble too. The likes of getting a payet for 10mil doesn't happen very often.

The one thing he has ovet mirallas and Geri even more so, is his aggression. Doesn't get bullied like Geri, or spend half the game on his arse. Koeman mentioned our lack of aggression after the Espanyol game
