he got 11 assists in the season before last. 6 goals 6 assists last season - though he missed two months through injury.

this time last year I'd have been all over him.

Not so sure now but if he does come in I'll give him my full support.
 

y'know, as much as he's not worth anywhere near the figures been banded about, his stats are far from bad.

he is however wildly inconsistent. Kind of like Mane with Del thrown in on top...

Absolutely, as does any player who pulls on the royal blue, but he absolutely wouldn't be my first choice signing.

I'm guessing that this means he's our first choice left winger then.
 
What are people talking about Pienaar for?

Horrible little runt of a player, nasty human, who jumped ship first chance he got then bled us dry for minimal service. What did he ever win?

If we're after a left winger who can always function as a forward?

Like I said I'm not sold on it - I don't even truly believe he's a primary target - but if he is and Koeman likes him then I trust his judgement.
