To be honest i thought the club were putting his car reg plate up but squad number makes more sense!! Reasonably pleased with this, I wanted us to go in for him two seasons ago but didn't seem to do much last year. I have said I really wanted a gas merchant for the left though and they have gone and signed one. Do think we missed the boat on Tello, think he went to fiorentina on a year loan for 2 mill and then a pre arranged price of about 7 million which I think is good value but we have bought someone with prem experience and if it is 22mill with add ons rather than 30 then in this mad market I don't think the price is too bad.
Hopefully Ronald has got a few more in the bag to be announced this week. I do like that we are adding a bit of height and physical presence to the team. We have been bullied by other teams for too long and we take bad decisions against us too well.... As much as I hate seeing it we need someone who will get in a refs face because thats what the other teams do - Mark Noble is a terrible player despite all the west ham fans going on about how good he is but he gets decisions every game because he gets at the ref and gets other players booked and sent off aswell. Lets add some more snide as well as class!!
