Yannick Bolasie

Hello chaps, thought you might like a Palace perspective.

In short, he's the most inconsistently player in world football. 5 or 6 games a season he'll look like Lionel Messi crossed with Dwayne 'the Rock' Johnson as he lays waste to every defender in his path. The rest of the time he'll do pointless tricks, miss absolute sitters, refuse to track back and sulk for 90 minutes. In our first and second seasons in the PL he was far better than he was last year. To be honest, it looks like he has been after a move for a while now.

I'm torn by the news that we've accepted £25m. On the one hand, I know that objectively it's a great deal for someone who lacks end product. On the other hand, Yannick is one of the most entertaining footballers I've ever had the privelege of watching at Palace. When he's on, he's [Poor language removed] on.

Oh, and he's always sensational against Liverpool for some reason, so if you play him you're practically guaranteed two derby wins.

can't believe we're getting £25m for Bolasie. Great business. Maybe now he'll kick on under a great manager and learn to shoot, maybe even getting a bit of consistency in his game.

Cheers lads.

Is there any chance yous can send Zaha instead?

May aswell keep mcgeedy

If we spend 25m on this half season wonder we are a laughing stock... he is not 22 years old but 27 and just had a "Kenvin Phillips" season where everything went his direction... Miralles is different class to this guy... we are desperate because our neighbours took our prime targets....

12m on a player with two seasons left and 18m on a 27 year old player from a small french Club WHO had 5 decent months at Sunderland....

Alongside 13m wasted on Naisse that will be 68´m Down the drain with a big risk of more or less no sell on value...

Self entitled beauts need to wind it in. We're crap and have been for 20 years.

And of course, he'd turn all that around, wouldn't he?

Worth more than double the combined total of Deulofeu and Mirallas, both of whom are consistently better than him?

Nope.

And if Mirallas were go to make way for this one; it'd be not too dissimilar to Harry Catterick getting shut of Alan Ball and bringing Bernie the Bolt in. :(

Devastated that we're spending over half the Stones' money on this absolute clown. A one-goal-in-15-games midfielder whose only real asset is having a bit of pace. Christ, how low our stock has fallen. Buying poor players and paying absolutely top dollar for them. ffs. What a terrible day and time to be a Blue.

He would be a relatively good signing at £15m.

Again, its timing. Sign another 4 or 5 and then its a signing that doesn't look so poor in isolation.

£25m is just indicative of how crazy the market has now become.

Another few signings like this and there's your £100m gone before you know it.

I prefer players with PL experience for positions in the spine of the team but I'm not sure at all about this.

Again, have to back the lad if he signs, and back Koeman and Walsh.

Can't see why we don't seem to be availing of the continental European market for signings, would have thought this was Walsh's forte.
