You would seriously drop barry?

for a lot of games yes. When we play teams like hull or burnley at home, we don't need to be concerning ourselves with a defensive midfielder. Especially not with a front 7 like i stated in my post. They're not going to outscore us are they?

Hull are top of the league mate, Leicester have ruined the fear factor

hull will still go down. west brom attacked a bit today (from corners mainly), but they were still playing the majority of the game with loads behind the ball. And that was a fairly decent team away from home. A lot of teams come to goodison without too much attacking mentality. I believe we can outscore most teams in the division, for most of those games we should be setting up with that arrogance,

Against certain opponents definitely.

Do we really need two holding midfielders for teams that play on the counter. I also wouldn't push both fullbacks up since I think it leaves teams too exposed. Guardiola has recognised this tactic has become too easy to play against which is why his fullbacks have almost become CMs and the wingers do their job and stay wide.

I doubt we will continue with 3 at the back for very long, think it was just a way to get "past" Coleman and Roms injuries.

Ive just watched this Kev interview, he says almost the same at 1.40m, he implies that Koeman will play his favoured 4-2-3-1 when possible.

To the tune of Venga boys boom boom
Yannick Bolaise his midfield play so classy
He plays on the left and the right wing too
He puts the crosses in oppositions boxes
For Romelu Lukaku to score a goal or two.

I agree but why not a 4-1-4-1?

Under Martinez there was always the fear Deulofeu and Barkley wouldn't work hard enough to do that but it looks already Koeman is quickly sorting out that problem.

As ive said all Summer, I will be surprised if Koeman doesnt buy somebody for the middle of the park, somebody a bit different to the players we have, more your old fashioned number 8, somebody a little bit box to box, like for example a Witsel.

We have a squad full of "stoppers" and "sitters" IMO, thats not a bad thing, but we have nobody who can really drive with the ball and pick a pass, Ross apart, so we either drop Ross into the 2 and buy a 1 or we buy a more offensively minded CM, so some games we will play 2 6s and other games a number 6, 8 and 10.

Know what I mean?
