Will be honest, he has exceeded my expectations. He always tore us apart, but you only ever hear how inconsistent he is. Doesn't matter if he creates 2 to 3 chances a game. His directness and power draws players away and creates space for others, like Barkley. Very happy early days.

Tbf Lukaku seems to be a pretty romantic guy, he's had/has bromances with Mirallas, Barkley, Deulofeu and Kone - he even had his arm draped over Liam Walsh in training shots during the week.....and that is even before you get onto his Belgium teamates!

Thought offensively it wasn't his best game, but agree that he works his balls off, like it when he loses the ball he chases to get it back.

He puts the opposition on the back foot. The end product might not always be there but he makes them have to think about us which makes a massive difference. Great to watch too.
