His stats are appalling.
If he's so creative then why doesn't he get many assists?

I am negative about Bolasie because he is a one trick pony whose only attribute is speed. His touch is seriously appalling and if you watch that video all you see is someone running at defenders. I missed the creativity part of that clip or any Palace games I may have watched.
 
Was against this at first but it has grown on me. Still think it's a bit expensive though.

Can see him reprising that "support striker" role Kone did a bit last year, drifting to the wing a bit then coming back centrally at times. Lukaku seemed to play better when we did this and I can see Bolasie causing far more problems in this role than Kone ever would.

He can also play as a proper left winger (a position we are a bit short in) and I could see Koeman using him up front running incessantly like he did with Shane Long a bit at Southampton as well. Guess what I am saying is that he offers plenty of options which I think is something Koeman is looking for in enabling us to switch formations during a match dependent on what is happening.

For clarification and dislike of the name, after seeing the product. Henceforth, Arouna Kone should be known as 'Arouna' as it doesn't ruin the credibilty of the next Kone, we may or may not have signed. Also, Sporting are after him and they like one word names, so let's not put them off?
Arouna is a striker, Bolasie isn't?
 

Perhaps there is miscommunication on the terms. Maybe the 30m is valuing Niasse at the 13.5 we paid for him and we are just giving them 16.5m and Niasse.

This would be similar to giving them 16.5m and some banana peels (Niasse and the banana peels being equally useless on the pitch) and would not be the worst deal.....
