2017/18 Yannick Bolasie

He's missed a lot of football at a point where a player like him would peak. I think he's lost confidence in his body which is why he never seems to put the burners on and just run past people and his unpredictability with the ball at his feet - an asset that use to make him difficult to play against - is now just makes him look silly and limited. It’s a shame because when we brought him in (for far too much it must be said) he was exactly what we needed. Pace, trickery and work ethic. At 29 I can’t see him being the same player he was, even if his body is up to it he’s mind isn’t. If we can get 15m for him in the summer or offer him in part exhange for a player we want then great.

I think you've massively over complicated that mate, he's utter turd and always has been. It's not unpredictable when the ball is at his feet, it's entirely predictable that he'll take too many touches, roll his foot over it and inevitably lose it when an easy pass was on.

Terrible footballer with no redeeming features.

I believe a decent coach will restore him

No-one could have seen him being such a flop

He has an average of 1 goal every 11 games.

Slightly worse than our fullbacks.

Half that of Steven Naismith.

Nowhere near Leon Osman.

It isn't a matter of opinion, it is a fact.

The key passes stat measures how many passes a player makes that lead to a presentable chance (whether converted or not).

Bolasie averages 1.1 a game.

Mirallas 1.3 a game
Lennon 1.5 a game

At Palace Jason Puncheon (supplying the same players) 1.4 a game, Andros Townsend 1.2 a game.

I'd think he was a poor buy for £5m let alone £25m.

He just isn't any good at football, his scoring record is terrible, I can't find an attacking player with a worse goals/minute ratio.

It isn't as though he racks up the assists either.

And for the argument that he makes chances but terrible finishing by others costs him assists - no. They measure this with a stat called key passes and his scores in this area are terrible as well.

However Koeman/Walsh are very respected and see £25m to be a fair price for what he brings to the team. I just don't see it. Obviously I hope he does well, like I hoped Kone* would work out despite thinking he was [Poor language removed].

*Kone has a goal every 366 minutes in his Everton career. Bolasie a goal every 700+ minutes for Palace. Half as prolific as Aruna Kone in an Everton shirt, let that sink in.

He reminds me of a novice playing fifa just randomly pressing buttons hoping for the best but ends up failing silly tricks.

When hee was signed alarm bells starting ringing on what sort of players koeman and walsh would bring in. Other than pace he doeant appear to have any positiv3 attributes

I mean, its not like he did anything of note at Palace before coming here, and then just didnt get results. Hes never had results. Hes never had end product. Hes just continued his form from Palace. In three seasons at Palace he average a goal every 700 some minutes.
