2017/18 Yannick Bolasie

Palace supporter in peace here. Bolasie is not a terrible footballer. The term confidence player gets thrown around a lot, because everyone is a confidence player, but for Bolasie, when things are going well he's unplayable (at least he was when he was at Palace). He single handedly won games for us with his direct running, power and work rate. Yes, he's unorthodox and at times erratic, but he can turn a game and produce extraordinary moments and defenders were terrified of him. It's a shame that it's not working out for him at Everton because there's a very good player there. I do remember when he arrived at Everton, he looked on good form and I can recall several assists for Lukaku, but obviously he's had a pretty horrendous injury (which many players would struggle to ever recover from). Anyway, best of luck for the rest of the season and hopefully Yannick will get a run of games and some fitness and confidence back and then maybe you'll see the Bolasie that performed so well for us.

Think that was true last season but after this injury and his age I’d say he is looking like he’s done.

It’s not worked out for anyone at Everton for the past 18 months. Rotten!

..nice contrast with Walcott. Walcott is an uncomplicated footballer: easy mover, looks to get beyond defenders with pace and talent, hits decent crosses and has a good goal scoring record. Bolasie is a complicated footballer: awkward mover, unsure what he’s trying to do, not a great crosser of a ball (two yesterday floated into the keeper), poor goalscoring record.

I like uncomplicated footballers and the comparison of Bolasie with Walcott is interesting.

The player you describe is the player I always seen for Palace & I for one was made up when we signed him. Still looking for form but thought he played well at Anfield and I'd wager he tears Martina a new one in training every day (Like the rest of the Prem every week).

Wouldn't mind swapping him for shaqiri regardless of what happens to Stoke. I like Bolasie, but he doesnt have that x factor, shaqiri and like he's settling now and could have that x factor if managed properly.

He's a total and utter donkey.

Please take him off us.
