Quite a few blues Mont, cobalt, ultramarine, cerulean, prussian, along with a few other colours, crimson and ochre's included, well spotted.
As for the method, just went for it Jim, the sky occupied so much of the painting that it was starting to get on my tits. :D

i like the brush strokes on the sky, very effective.

from a picture latch? photo or otherwise?

Thanks for that Suits, much appreciated, you should always try and put some 'movement' in your sky's, nothing worse than a 'flat' looking sky.
It was painted from a photo, somewhere along the South coast of England, Isle of Wight ?

Great result mate, love the shafts of light eminating from the invisible breaks behind the clouds, magical effect and very difficult to do, when I tried it it looked like a hail storm:lol:

Come on, don't be a tease Picasso, how did you do it, I trust you didn't use masking fluid and drag over later, it is a watercolour isn't it?

No, not this time Jim, it's one of my rare attempts in oils.

A tip with Masking Fluid for you mate, if you want snow effect, dip a Toothbrush in the stuff, and, holding the brush a few inches from your paper, scratch your thumbnail along the hairs, the result should be hundreds of spots of all sizes.

But even then it wont be as head scratchingly impressive as the effect i have achieved here! :P

* Danny, Dylan. ( Cheers lads, keep it between ourselves ok ) :D (y)
