Same here, just hope, that if we get him, we'll manage to bring in a partner for him at CB that complements him. Mina with either Jags or Keane will be a recipe for disaster imo.

I don’t know about being a weak link Toff, yeah he was prone to the odd error.

I’m a big fan of Spanish footy and watch loads, and whilst he had a great midfield in front of him he was brilliant in that role. For how good Barca are at keeping hold of the ball the amount of times they lose possession in a game is quite high, allowing teams to break on them, he just seemed to be everywhere mopping up.

Well, it's all relative. Obviously, he was outstanding for them, but if there was one player targeted it was usually him - mainly because of his height. I just think it was that he worked well in that role in that system, as you say.

After missing a few hours of this I see the media are toeing the party line and calling the fee inflated and player of dubious quality.

I'm more than happy to go with Brands/Silva judgement. He would need time to adapt certainly but all the ingredients are there.
