"I promise to give my all to this great club, but I am very ambitious"

That got the alarm bells ringing a bit.

Doesn’t worry me. I’d say pretty much all our summer signings have massive ambitions, and he would be lying if he said otherwise. He has come from Barca to a team that isn’t in Europe. Do you expect him to say that finishing 7th in the prem is the height of his ambition? We need to meet his ambition and show him we can win things and compete at the top.

The fella who does the South American football was on Talksport earlier, Tim Vickery I think his name is? Anyway he said that he was surprised Mina came here and said it'll be a one season thing as Everton can't match his ambitions and he deserved a top tier English club. Sounded quite angry about it.

Wasn't he the same bloke who said Funes Mori wouldn't make it at here? I suppose he was sort of right. If he's right about Mina then to be perfectly honest I'll be chuffed.

Tim Vickery is a plonker who from what I've heard has never had a very high opinion of Everton.

We need a squad of young ambitious players who each put in performances that match those ambitions.

Following Yerry Mina's £27.19m move from Barcelona, the defender has yet to make an appearance for the blues due to injury, but a debut could be a possibility this weekend as his side go to Stamford Bridge.

He knows his stuff to be fair to him, I wasn't overly impressed with him at the world cup to say that he'd walk into any of the teams above us, but he did score in every game and was unbeatable in the air. If he helps us to an FA Cup then fair play one season would do me fine.

In the space of 6 months Walcott and Coleman have become our weakest area on the pitch. How is that not showing ambition?

These pundit biffs do my head in. It might take an entire season for this side to gel, but we are certainly not some plucky, unambitious also-rans. Will take a while for the blinkered media to realise this too.
