He's going to make some mistakes, he's still somewhat inexperienced, but the potential is enormous. He's also so much better with the ball than our other defenders and is going to score off a few more set pieces.

I think it's weird that opinions are so polarised on someone that the jury should really still be out on.

He didn't look awful last season and he didn't look amazing either. He had some good games and some bad ones, but not enough of either to really have an idea of how good he's going to be for us. If he's going to come good then he really will be like the infamous new signing.

There were times when he looked out of position but that would mainly be down to unfamiliarity of Silva's system due to his injury. When he did play, I noticed how composed he was on the ball way more than our other defenders.
The more he plays, the better he will be for us. He could get very good.

I say I don't think Mina has looked solid and all of a sudden I don't watch football not an everton fan etc..... Very very irritating

Keane and “Zooms” looked absolutely all over the place on numerous occasions
Yes, obviously... I'm suggesting that when on form Keane and Zouma displayed a much more solid and stable defence than any I observed while Mina was on the field.
And actually yes, getting clean sheets and shutting out teams like Chelsea and Liverpool does mean you were solid actually.
We know that more shots = more goals, in that game you keep citing they had 15 shots. Although I'm no a stat pleb I do believe that the high number of shots helps my point here as it reflects how they were able to get into dangerous areas and shoot due to our defence being shaky and not solid. Closing your eyes and reciting the final score completely ignores the course of the game and the player performances.
