He was brilliant today.
As someone said earlier in this thread , the usual suspects who were slagging him during the summer seem to be (rightly) very quiet at the moment.
 


He's been boss along with the rest of the back five

It still doesn't mean criticism of last season wasn't justified

Quite.
There’s a whole load of nutters on this site who are terrible judges of a player. They focus on the wrong things and don’t see the bigger picture. Just look at the rubbish spouted about Bernard.
 
Very good, still needs to learn that Prem players will buy penalties from him if he slides in like he did on Delofeou (think it was Del - who dived badly luckily), and another instance when he got a little handsy for the premier league IMO.

But other than that, solid again
