I’m totally convinced he wasn’t injured. After his first couple of bad passes and Wood smashing him around a bit he just gave up on the fight. When do Colombia play next? Would ban him from going till he can prove his fitness and commitment to Everton.

He's done it before in my opinion aswell. Millwall in the cup. A roll your sleeves up cup tie away. You could see he didnt fancy it. And he cried off after about half hour i think.

When fit he’s our best defender but never is for more than 2/3 games. It’s why we shouldn’t think of offering him a new deal

He probably is our best central defender. We have to replace him in the Summer though.

It's not just his unavailability through injury but I've never known a central defender to be substituted off through injury which so often upsets the game for us.

Growing up in the 90's I didn't realize how blessed I was seeing Dave Watson lead our defence. None of our current defenders (or rest of the squad for that matter) have his desire.

Was crap before he went off injured. Made 2 mistakes in the first 5 minutes and his passing was awful.

Probably the most Everton of all our players.

He's clearly our best defender when he's on the pitch. But he's never on the pitch. Or when he is, he needs to be subbed off for half of them.

It's mind numbing. He's a big guy too. How can he possibly always be injured like this?

Needs binning. Totally and utterly unreliable. Made of tracing paper. Is a decent defender at times but I’m having palpitations watching him attempting to pass out from the back. An absolute priority is at least one, probably two, commanding reliable centre halves. Even if we go down, we can’t go into the Championship with this defence. It’s absolutely shocking.
