Makes you wish he could stay fit for even half a season. Even beyond is overall ability, his mentality is what this team desperately needs on the pitch compared to the likes of Keane who probably wanna be anywhere else when things go bad.

Did read somewhere that after 100 appearences triggers a payment to Barca, today was his 96th, 3 games left , so the payment wont be triggered. Not sure if its true though.

Still way too unreliable injury wise which is a real shame. Our scouts should be working day and night to find a carbon copy of him somewhere in the world.

…we know our players by now, at least the vast majority of us do. The blokes a leader, he’s one his teammates look at in the dressing room and feel good he’s on their team.

His fragility means we have to part company at the end of the season but if he helps us stay up he’ll always be fondly remembered.
