..I think the majority of loanees, including those two are available to other clubs. It’s difficult to determine if any will be recalled for inclusion in the first team squad next season.
It seems that Robinson at Bolton may be the big winner in the loan players stakes. It seems that he has progressively improved and impressed supporters after a slow start.

Dowell has gone the other way , fading badly after a very good start, the change of manager hasn't helped.

I think we will see those two come back, I think everybody else of the academy players will probably leave.

On a side note, I don't think the loan move for Lookman has worked as well as he had hoped. I wonder if regular games at Derby may have been better after all.

..I think Robinson’s form has dipped of late as well (ref @atrottel round-ups). In a way it’s probably more convenient to buy ‘proven’. I’m not saying that is the right approach, but since Royle left it doesn’t even look like anybody from the club is tracking these youngsters.

robinson has been average (if we are being extremely generous, but in a fairly crap team).
lookman has done okay, i doubt he thought he would be starting every game there.

I think Connolly at Ipswich has done really well. Who until recently were on the fringes of the play offs. Has also played in an unfamiliar role in centre midfield. He’s had plenty of rave reviews of Ipswich fans.

I get the impression from Connolly’s and the club's comments that there may be a mutual interest in him going to Ipswich permantly. A tough decision for Connolly, I think he’s a super player for his age , I just love his versatility and attitude. But ... will he crack our 1st team squad next season when a couple of seasons playing/developing in the Championship could see him back into the PL at age 22.

I'm no expert at all but I have a sneaky feeling he'll "make it". He seems to acquit himself well no matter what the challenge.

If we have first option and a decent buy back price, then I can handle it.
