the first i remember going to see is "Live and Let Die" in 1973, they had a speedboat in the foyer and everything, one of the old fashioned cinemas with velvet everywhere and an intermission.

as the film started and 007 walked onto screen apparently i stood up and said "thats not james bond. thats simon templar " at the only volume that a 5 1/2 year old knows.

easy mistake to make as you can see

i recall a tearfull viewing of a lassie film around then as well.

Films are superb, they really are.

Right up there with food, music, Everton and girls.

I remember I went to watch Mars Attacks with me dad, I was only 8 or 9 i think and it was a 12 and I stood on my tiptoes and was convinced that was what helped me get in. Was made up, then the film was effing sheeite
