Pasta in tomato and chili sauce, with onion, extra garlic, red pepper and vegetarian meatballs. Made enough for tea and for lunch tomorrow.

Sounds lovely. When you do the meatballs, do you use some bread soaked in red wine to bind them? And in the sauce, having a stick of cinnamon in it is just knock out.

nope - I am lazy and bought some of these:

they actually take up any sauce really well. Thanks for the cinnamon tip though, I'll try that next time I make this

Something with sprouts.

Just picked a whole stalk of sprouts from the garden, separated the woodlice, earwigs, slugs and grubs and now have a pile of sprouts.

Any ideas?

Thinking this, sprout and potato gratin

A bit left field, but its the sort of thing I would try, and it might work.

Crispy bacon, all cut up and mixed into the sprouts, with either a parsley sauce, or a cheese sauce, with the cheese sauce option lobbed under a grill to get a bit of a crisp on it. (both work with cabbage after all).

Could make a decent side dish for some white fish as well.
