Let me just say, who in the heck voted for Hibbert?.. Stubbs?.. Neville!.. :dodgy:

While I really like Arteta he wasn't all that today. Osman was the guy that was generating stuff (and I'm not a big Osman fan). Sure, Mikel is skillful and fun to watch dribble but he never put me on the edge of my seat.

I also think we to mix it up a bit on our set pieces. I'd like to pressures D's by having Arteta off the ball but not in the scrum, on some of these. I'd like to see Baines start taking some of these.

Having said all that I also think Arteta should take the captaincy as well (to be honest it's more about taking away from Neville but who else? )

I hope Dylan is right but Newcastle,Man City and Derby really impressed me today. Perhaps even more so than we did.

Neville plays better in the back. Hibbo just doesn't seem the same. Like to see Jags tuesday for Hibbo. Pienaar needs a start just to see what he can do for 90 minutes. Stubbs had a solid game.

Newcastle impressed. I think Man City will struggle to keep up the pace they set today (I watched the game as I listened to us), Although they were good going forward, they still looked shaky at the back, if Ashton had had a better day that game would have finished level.

Who voted for Hibbo ffs! OK, I wasn't at the game but I watched the extended highlights on Football First; after Sibierski scored yesterday I texted a mate who was at the game and asked if Hibbo was involved at all - watching it on Sky I see he was ball-watching again and awarded Sibierski the freedom of the box! :dodgy:

I think Hibbo's fast becoming our very own Titus Bumble and we need a more reliable right back.

Jagielka... Neville... (y)

Agreed. Can't really place blame on Hibbert for that goal. In hindsight, yes he should have stayed with his player, but that would have left the whole box wide open without any defender.

If any, the blame would be on the defensive midfielder that should have gone down to cover when the defender went up to try and mark the targetman close to the midfieldline. That's what left us one guy short in the back at the end.

If you go on how the team looked this weekend... Bolton and Tottenham are prime candidates to go down.

I'm impressed with the way Bimingham stood up today though. Especially the new boy Kapo looked good on the left side.
