Mate it's the state of the game now. I'd even argue the good young kids are snapped up by the Man Cities, Arsenals, Chelsea's of this world. Even Barca's and RM snap up the wonderkinds. Should be enforced zones for junior players up to u/18s, ie london lads can only go to london clubs under 18 greaater liverpool lads to liverpool based clubs and so on. I know largely it works this way but there still seems to be many players not from a local area going on youth terms to big clubs, you want to even out financial fair play, that is a start.

Happens all over, at all ages. Certain clubs don't see the talent, or overlook it. Other clubs give the kid a shot and bang.

But similar to having a punt on a signing, the big clubs have the luxury of giving the kids a shot due to the volume of kids they have and the fact they are unlikely to affect the first team fortunes anyway.
