I do not like his comments on the lad. There's trying to reduce the pressure on a young player, and there's just being downright negative. I think this is closer to the latter.

The manager doesn't seem to rate the player, so why was he signed.

I would however also argue the lad played a lot for sporting in the second half of last season, so Dyche's opinion that he's not ready for this abysmal Everton side, doesn't carry much weight with me. Sporting are a better football team.

To me he's been signed behind the manager's back, likely due to Sporting accepting a tiny upfront payment and Thelwell knowing there's no money to spend on another striker.

Dyche has shown he won't really give youth a fair crack of the whip. We've paid out on the lad and the only way he can either help us win matches or flip him for a profit is if he plays.

I'd imagine he will start in the cup though, so just got to hope he makes a huge impression on us all.

Has done it with all the young players, last season he went with putting two gk on the bench instead of even putting one of the young lads on. I understand the last week but i see no reason why he cant be in the squad cba with him me

Bit of a weird tetchy presser from Dyche in particular in relation to this lad. Why not just answer this question, it’s not a state secret.

because Dyche is a bit of a knob.
He's like that smart arse in the pub who has an overinflated opinion of himself.
You think he's sound for the first few minutes but when the shtick doesn't change, you have to head off.

Bobble leaks teams news 5 minutes before it's released and gets slated by some people for giving our opponents an advantage.

Dyche won't confirm if a player will get on the pitch 2 days before our next game and some people aren't happy.

Really is no way to please everyone.

…I don’t believe he’s helping himself with a couple of those answers. Nobody is expecting Chermiti to play but if he’s injured then it’s reasonable to communicate to supporters how long he’s likely to be out. Same with questions re transfers.

I’m one who thinks Dyche could be the route to survival but I’m concerned with how he’s managed the post-match Villa interview and today’s press conference. We get little or no official communication from the club, we don’t need Dyche to be of the same mind set.

Hes always been a joker in his press conferences. Mountain being made out of a molehill.
