….i’d be so happy if this lad proves to be the real deal. I think Thelwell is useless but if Chermiti truly makes a difference I’ll give this DoF my total backing. Come on Chermiti, ffs.
Reminds me of the deal we had for the other Portuguese kid probably around a decade ago, also a centre forward, high hopes when he came in,drifted off into the sunset eventually, his name even escapes me 🙄

I'd be shocked if this doesn't prove to be the case.

The old saying "time will tell" always rings true. He's had time and hasn't changed my mind still but we'll see how it goes this season and a change of ownership.

What was this signing about? We have the slowest wide players in world football, nobody that can play number 10 and we spend a chunk of the little money we have on a young kid to sit on the bench?

Like giving a homeless man a brand new television.

The time for punts was the many many years we bobbed around mid table, not when in the relegation mix.

Don’t get the strategy here with this kid.

Either give the lad some mins especially when we’re doing terribly at the sharp end of the pitch, or don’t bother signing him in the first place and keep cannon or simms to get splinters and not play. Why spend the money?
I think this all comes down to booking the profit on the home grown lads this year and pay for chermiti on the drip - then put 20k on the euromillions.

Didn't see much of Cannon play but I thought Ashley Young must be marking Simms in training to make him look like a PL player.

It’s a gamble. If he never kicks on it it will be a really bad deal but if he does then it will be a good one. I don’t think this season is the time to judge him but that doesn’t mean I think it was a good idea to buy him I just think we have to wait and see.
