Promising stuff today. Started slow and I think was getting a bit fed up of chasing lost causes but grew into it.

Showed a lot of good touches and his link up play was tidy. Would have liked him to bury his one on one chance, even if it would have eventually been offside

If we start playing footy on the deck can see him being a real asset

The only attacking player who can feed him to feet is McNeil.

If we had McNeil in the number 10 role and two fast tricky wide players then our counter attacking would be a different story and there 'should' be alot more balls in front of him.

Same goes for the other 2 CFs.

We have many chances frequently and a crazy high XG...but those chances are rarely forged from quality.

Do him good that. Switched off at one point and Gana shouted at him because he didn’t follow when someone instigated a mini press, and it gave them an easy way out. Thats the sort of thing you can only learn in pressure of real games, 100% focus for every single second required. Happy to scrap to win throws etc high up the pitch. Jury out on goal threat, but yeah, nice little performance.

Had a good game for me had a better second half is a tough position to play was on his own with not much support. Hopefully get to see more of the lad looks promising

Think this is right. He's clearly got some talent, a nice touch, etc. but he does need to get stronger. Really needs to get as many minutes as possible against Premier League defenses to see if he can do it in the long-run.

Certainly would like to see him start another game or 2 this season. Full pre season will hopefully help too, and get him plenty of match time.
