Yeah I’d agree with that. DCL is highly likely on his way out . Broja may depend on the asking price , we’ll keep Beto. But no manager is going to say a young Chermiti is going to be our No1 striker and leave us without experienced striking options so he’ll have competition and will need to prove himself, as it should be.
I'm pretty confident Chermiti could become "no1 striker" this season.
In the summer we should be bringing in a superior player and he would then drop to 2nd choice.
I'd let DCL go, sell Beto for more than we could have done in Jan...and Broja can join Mangala in the koff crabs column.
I agree with replacing both Beto and DCL with 2 new strikers but on what evidence do you have "confidence that Chermiti could be our No1 striker" FFS!I'm pretty confident Chermiti could become "no1 striker" this season.

That's what the manager and coaches are there for though isn't it? We might not know whether he's going to be a prem player but if we're paying someone £5m a year to manage the team I would hope they do. If the club think he's good enough and ready to be a genuine option that's great, if they don't then we need to make a decision on him because he's not going to get any better just getting the odd 10 minute run out next year. And have Chermiti as back up striker when we have no idea if he’s a Prem player? Doesn’t seem wise mate, he needs to be 3rd choice of 3 next season. If he can force his way into the team, great.
Yep, exactly this. Practically everyone would agree that the tiny glimpses we've had of him have looked promising, but he's been injured for 7-8 months and our sample size is absolutely miniscule, relatively speaking. It's pretty wild to claim somebody could become number 1 Striker when they haven't scored a single goal.
But I'm rooting for him.

But we need him to do that now!I honestly think from what I've seen from him against West Ham that he will win a Ballon d'Or in exactly two years.
I think the part of my post about him being 2nd choice next season, followed the part about him getting to be 1st choice this season.
