Strange that there is so little reinvestment from you guys? You have an amazing fanbase, jumping and singing for 90 mins, have just pocketed 50 mill on AWB, and are close to relegation almost every year. And now recruiting freebies and bargains? Is it old debt catching up, resignation/greed from the owners, or planning to move stadiums? Seems weird given the current financial climate with tv deals and all?

From the outside sounds like the American Consortium are getting a bit twitchy about further investment, which must be worrying.

I think (from the outside) thats the most surprising thing to me. Why not sign Batshuaiyi? Sign 2 or 3 lads. If anything use the Wan Bissau money to do so, then you expect Zaha to go. It reminds me a bit of when Rooney left Everton. There was no plan. We turned down £50 million from Chelsea earlier in the summer (leading to our CEO Trevor Birch leaving) to accept 30 million (trip paid) on deadline day.

If they wanted the Chelsea deal, I'm surprised they didn't try to set it up informally. Pay a loan fee for say Loftus Cheek and Batshuayi, have pre-agreed prices for them and Zaha which click into place next summer. On the face of it the values sort of match up.
I'm sure that has been done. We have had a bid of £24m for Bats knocked back (yesterday) apparently, which explains today's significantly increased bid for Chalov.I think Lampard is nervous on letting any more leave than necessary until the transfer ban ends.
I think £80m for Wilf, £30m for Bats and a loan fee of say £3m for RLC. I'm good!
....that's not happening is it?

I could be wrong. But I thought Loftus Cheek was injured?

The Yanks ( significant minority shareholders, and about as useful as the two blerts that bought the RS) are looking for an out. Stadium upgrade shelved. Bizarrely meaning we cannot afford to trip off the gravy train hence our position on Wilf.
Yes. Worrying.

No it's not now. It probably needed to be set up before deadline day really. It's a rough calculation, but in my head RLC I have a value of around 30-40, MB 30 and Zaha 70-80 so they kind of match up ok,a nd you avoid paying the sell on tax too. If Zaha is worth slightly more, the ability to have a season long loan for both must have surely got the deal done? So you'd loan them both tis summer, and next summer the 3 deals would become permanent. I'm surprised something like that wasn't set up.
