Wouldn't be suprised if he downs tools until January and they cave in to us with a £60 million or so offer to get rid.

Think this is still very much on the cards similar to the Silva saga with Watford.
 
He's a decent enough player. But he's nearly 27. All he's done has been be a big fish in a small pond at palace all his playing career. And most of that comes from games at selhurst park against middle order prem teams.
60 odd mill plus whatever wages you are talking about a 90m gamble.
Personaly i think thats lunacy for a player who's not really done anything.
I'd put this one to bed.

funny how he's 27 and none of those best teams in europe have bought him. The only who did sacked him off straight back to crystal palace at the first opportunity.
