Put us through as far as finishing in the top three Bainsey, but as for winning the group it will all become clearer after tonights game, if Larissa win tonight two draws would clinch it, if AZ win then we would still win the group if we beat them in our last game, that would give us 9 points, zenit would only have 8 even if they beat us.
Hope that helps! ;)

zenit are no mugs, i they won their league and if im not mistaken will be CL players next season.

that said, their season finished a few weeks ago so match sharpness might not be there.

we should beat them, us with home advantage, but this is football and this is everton.

I've thought that about so many in the past :dodgy:

Watched it on German TV. To be honest, Zenit didn't look particularly arsed about the match, as suits says they are in the CL next year and haven't played for three weeks. They also had had their championship celebrations this week and they missed about five open goals (esp. their big centre forward).

But they played quick, short-pass football for brief periods - Arshevin(?) looked their most dangerous player and they have a couple of decent fullbacks. Having said that, they should have stuffed Nürnberg and their dodgy goalie without even trying and they didn't.

AZ Alkmaar, by the way, apparently now have the longest unbeaten home run in Europe - 32 games stretching back to 1977.
