Can't vote for both so no point.

Two totally different players in two totally different positions.

Would I want Beckham in the middle of the park pulling the strings? Absolutely not. Would I want Zidane out wide creating havoc and whipping in crosses? Absolutely not.

Possibly but he wouldn't have been anywhere close to Beckham in terms of danger on the right hand side. Not even.

I disagree Bill, Zidane had immense footballing talent, he could strike a ball as good as Beckham and he could beat a man way better than Beckham. They may have played different postions, but Zidane had by far the better talent.

Your right he did, but I still prefer Beckham.

How could any blue blooded Englishman ever vote for a Frenchman? I mean come on? Now if you had said Rudi Voller or Gary Lineker, than it would be the flem covered perm head every time.

At last, a none zombie unbrainwashed into biased opinion.:)

I'm thinking that's a compliment here but not sure. :D

Zidane was spectacular on his day and did things with the ball I had seen before. I remember watch him play against Fiorentina one match while he was with Juventus and had two players coming on on him from two different angels. He was gonna get it from one of 'em to be sure.

I can't describe how he did it but he did a little start/stop/start between 'em and basically had them come close to crashing into each other while he skirted away. Absolute classic !!!

For me though, Beckham was the ideal danger man on the right obviously with his pinpoint crossing as well as set piece delivery. Funny how his skills were highly regarding in just about every corner of the world BUT England. Something about a prophet in his home country comes to mind but I digress.

I think they were both great players in their own right.

Not anywhere near. Sure he could hit 'em but as consistent as Becks. Nah, don't even go there.

WHAT? So you would pick a German??? Oh, right, I see.......

I share your Anti-French views, I mean which Englishman doesnt, but Zidane was still better than Beckham.
