Who should replace Frank Lampard?

A near 60 year old with a losing record and an old fashioned style of play is not the answer to our problems. He would also suit the low ambitions of our current board, which is a major negative in my book. Just look at how much he talked us down when he was in charge here, and, even worse, when he was at Man Utd. Managers very rarely do as well or better in a second stint at a club either.
The second stint bit is the worry but overall we had lots of good times when he was in charge. Would fancy him getting us back to top six challenges, which would be progress.

Don't see that outcome at all. There's a fair chance we find out though. Bill will be pushing Moyes hard.

I'm so depressed that Dyche is leading this poll. Everton have sapped so much joy from the fanbase that a one dimensional hoofball merchant who plays the lowest defensive block in history is the preferred options. He will also 100% play Keane every game, careful what you wish for.

Edit: lol at Pereira having 7 votes, didn't realise the Mosh and Joorabchian had profiles on here.
100% agree. Suppose we could sign more donkeys from Burnley though. Shame Mick McCarthy has taken the Blackpool job. They'll soon be past us.

People keep saying Moyes , Dyche etc backwards appointments but these players need a manager that will get them back to basics. Even Dunc would be an improvement on Frank at the moment. Ancelotti ended up playing 4 centre backs and playing on the counter cos he realised our players are crap. Time for pragmatism and realism.

Whoever we bring in needs to be extremely pragmatic. No "progressive" coaches with a "philosophy" who want to play put from the back with neat triangles.

We need to go back to basics with extremely direct aggressive football because that's all these terrible players can cope with.

What makes you think they can play aggressive football? This team can play on the counter against teams that leave them space. Unfortunately that is only 5 teams in the league and you aren’t getting wins in those games anyway.

Dyche or Moyes would go back to basics

Nuno Santo would likely get us playing on the front foot, and may likely actually use Vinagre

A non PL experienced manager with different ideas might be a gamble but work like Lopetegui seems to be at Wolves so far
