Well I assume he'd back himself to keep us up lol but I am pretty sure our FFP restrictions are much less harsh next summer, which is why Lampard's remit was just to survive again.

Think given Thelwell relationship with Nuno in the past he surely has to be the favourite although you’d think if there is a release fee for him the pendulum would swing towards Dyche .. can’t see anyone outside of them 2 .. Dunc / Rooney .. just can’t see it

What makes you think they can play aggressive football? This team can play on the counter against teams that leave them space. Unfortunately that is only 5 teams in the league and you aren’t getting wins in those games anyway.

I'm honestly fine with Dyche or Nuno in these circumstances. Both would add a bit of backbone Lampard lacks - he's too nice and too safe and the team is playing in his image. Both know how to navigate the Championship too if the worst happens.

Agreed, but it is the board who lack the ambition as they probably haven't even thought about a replacement yet so will go for an emergency appointment.
