Saw him in a few champions league games earlier in the season and looked absolutely hopeless. Had a banging world cup, though and that got him back into the Chelsea team, so surprised they are letting him go.

On balance, I'd definitely have him as creativity in any of our current players is just non-existent. As others have mentioned, I don't see him coming to us, in light of the other suitors mentioned.

100% spot on. I think he's a superb player, and if CFC were interested in selling, there'd probably be half a dozen clubs in European competitions interested in him; and even if there were not, he's not rocking up to this manager-less relegation clownshow.
