It's very much the player we dont need mate. Hes worse than what we have, on big wages and has no sell on.

I mean this politely, but I've seen us do this for 7 years, and it's got us into enormous trouble. We have to stop buying lads who are nearly 30, on the basis they might (very rarely do) work for a few months, who we can never recover any money for. It leads you to financial oblivion.

Ziyech is a bit different, as hes better than what we have, but we just have to negotiate better deals, on shorter term (loan) contracts in my view, while buying players who will improve in terms of value and performance.

Like honestly mate, Shelvey is not getting in here ahead of Onana and Gueye. It would be stupid.

Rey much doubt he would get into your starting 11 but with 5 subs now available it’s far less an 11 man game than it has ever been.

Add to that Dyche almost certainly will want to play 4-4-2 and I think you only have 6 specialist midfielders( as per Wiki) two of whom are Davies and Garner get just one injury in that area and it gets tricky
Shelvety is in the last 6 months of a deal which was said to be £70k a week . If he goes to Forest on a 2&1/2 year deal he ain’t getting £70k a week there.

The hours till the window closes are disappearing at a pace with Gordon gone how many players we you be looking to sign and in what positions ?
 
Ridiculous if true, why would any Premier league player, especially from Chelsea sign for Everton? They've all seen the table, same Gallagher, this has to be rubbish or phantom bids.

I agree with aspects mate, but we have 6 players for 2 positions, 7 if you count Iwobi. We lack goals. Adding a 29 year old CM for one of our loan spots would be stupid. It would be akin to signing El Ghazi last season.

The premise with Ziyech works with a loan. He's better than what we have and creative. Shelvey would be a downgrade on sizeable wages.
